A historic Dakota is set to fly over the Severn Valley Railway this Saturday, 8 August, at around 1.05pm, as part of the Vintage Transport Extravaganza. Look to the skies over the Bridgnorth end of the line towards Highley, courtesy of the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight.
Bewdley Dementia Awareness Day: a free family day on Sunday 16 August
Bewdley Dementia Awareness Day returns on Sunday 16 August, a free family day across St Anne’s Church and Queen Elizabeth II Jubilee Gardens, with a morning service, chess for all ages, stalls, therapy dogs, a barbecue and live music from The Severn Wonderers. No booking needed, just turn up.
Bewdley rail trial: through tickets confirmed and trains both ways
New detail on the Bewdley to Birmingham rail trial: through tickets will be available, with a peak return around £16, and the Severn Valley Railway shuttle will run both ways, morning and evening.

An eight week trial from 1 September will connect Bewdley to Birmingham by rail, with Severn Valley Railway heritage trains running the Bewdley to Kidderminster leg and passengers changing for Snow Hill.

Bewdley Museum’s free Cherry Fayre and 1940s Weekend returns to the Jubilee Gardens on Saturday 18 and Sunday 19 July, with cherries, 1940s re-enactors, classic cars, craft stalls and live music.

The Queen Elizabeth II Jubilee Gardens, behind Bewdley Museum, has earned a Green Flag Award, the national standard for a well-run green space, with the gardens’ volunteers singled out for their work.
