The Civic is a community theatre and live entertainment venue on Martins Way in Stourport-on-Severn, the next town down the Severn from Bewdley.
It is run by volunteers. When the district council decided to close the Civic Hall in February 2011, a local group campaigned against the decision and was given the chance to prove the venue was worth saving. In September 2013 its future was secured and the hall passed into community ownership.
The programme has grown from around 30 events a year to more than 300, drawing audiences from across the country and beyond. The Civic was invited to speak at the Theatres Trust annual conference in April 2014.
The box office is open Tuesday to Friday, 10am to 2pm, and Saturday, 11am to 1pm.
