Bewdley Cricket Club is a thriving local sports organisation located at Lower Park, just a short distance from the town centre. The club provides a welcoming environment for players of all ages and abilities, fielding multiple adult teams that compete in the Worcestershire County Cricket League, alongside a dedicated youth setup. For younger players, the club actively participates in the ECB All Stars Cricket programme, offering introductory coaching courses for children aged five to eight.
The club grounds feature a well maintained cricket field and a pavilion equipped with a popular, member friendly bar. During the cricket season, the bar opens to serve players, supporters, and visiting CAMRA members, offering real cask ales and matchday snacks like pork pies and sausage rolls. The club is also known for hosting community events, including an annual beer festival during the late May bank holiday.
Because the club activities are seasonal, the grounds and bar are generally closed from mid September through to April. During the spring and summer months, the bar opens regularly for training evenings, weekend matches, and social events, creating a great atmosphere for the local sporting community. The pavilion offers level access and an adapted WC for visitors.
