Bewdley Museum’s popular Geology Weekend returns on Saturday 1 and Sunday 2 August, a free event for all the family with something for everyone. It is a chance to learn more about the rocks, minerals and fossils that make up the natural world, and to spend a friendly weekend in and around the museum.
Have you ever picked up an unusual rock, mineral or fossil and wondered what it was? Bring your finds along to the popular Ask the Expert sessions, where experienced geology enthusiasts will help identify them and share what they know. The much-loved Make Your Own Geology Collection activity also returns, letting you choose from a selection of rocks, minerals and fossils to build a collection to take home and keep.
Younger visitors can pick up free fossil colouring sheets to take away and finish at home. There is more on the Bewdley Museum website.
