Cherry Fayre and 1940s Weekend

A free family weekend celebrating the historic cherry trade and the 1940s, featuring live music, vintage cars, a craft fayre, and a Garden Kitchen café BBQ.

The annual Cherry Fayre and 1940s Weekend returns to Bewdley Museum on Saturday 18 and Sunday 19 July 2026. This free family event celebrates the historic cherry trade of the town and features vintage 1940s displays.

Throughout the weekend, visitors can explore the museum air raid shelter, view World War II artefacts, and see classic 1940s and 1950s cars alongside historical re-enactors. A craft fayre will also be running, offering handmade gifts alongside stalls selling local cherries and cherry trees.

Live entertainment will take place in the Green Theatre area of the Queen Elizabeth II Jubilee Gardens, and attendees are encouraged to bring their own picnic chairs. On Saturday, Kevin Mac will perform classic hits from 1:30 pm to 3:30 pm, while the Wyre Forest Big Band will take the stage on Sunday during the same hours.

The Garden Kitchen café will be serving a BBQ throughout the event from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm, alongside their standard menu of freshly prepared lunches, homemade cakes, cream teas, and barista coffee. For full event details, please visit the Bewdley Museum website.
