Bewdley Dementia Support Group runs a once-a-month morning drop-in session in the café area at Bewdley Medical Centre, on Dog Lane. Light refreshments are available, and you are welcome to stay as long as you wish, join in or simply have a chat.
The session is run in partnership with the medical centre, which fully supports the venture and may refer people along. It can also give carers a chance to attend their own appointments or pop out for a few moments, depending on volunteer availability on the day.
There are no activities at these particular sessions, but visiting speakers attend when available to provide updates, covering subjects such as hearing, foot care and policing. Coming dates are 27 August with an Age UK advice session, 24 September with a question and answer session with Dr Prior, then 29 October and 26 November.
Sessions run on a Thursday from 10am until midday.
