As the autumn evenings draw in, Lumos brings the music of Coldplay to Bewdley for one night by candlelight. On Saturday 17 October, St Anne’s Church on Load Street is lit by thousands of candles for a classical Coldplay tribute, an intimate way to hear some of the band’s best known songs.
Performed by a live string trio, the set moves through Coldplay favourites including Clocks, Everglow, Paradise, Yellow, Magic, My Universe, Fix You, A Sky Full of Stars, The Scientist and Viva La Vida, arranged for strings and set against the soft glow of the candlelit church.
There are two sittings on the night. The first runs from 7pm to 8pm, with doors opening at 6.15pm, and the second from 9pm to 10pm, with doors opening at 8.30pm. Seating is arranged in tiered zones (Platinum, Gold, Silver and Bronze) and is allocated on a first come, first served basis within your zone. The evening is suitable for ages eight and over, and St Anne’s is wheelchair accessible, though as with any historic church some areas are easier to reach than others.
