The Wyre Community Land Trust works in partnership with landowners and public bodies to manage and conserve areas of land in and around the Wyre Forest. Based at Ruskin Land and operating out of St Georges Farm, the organisation is dedicated to restoring traditional meadows, orchards, and oak forest habitats while reversing the nationwide loss of biodiversity.
The trust provides a range of opportunities for the local community to learn and engage with the natural environment. Through the work of their team and enthusiastic volunteers, they deliver a conservation grazing programme using a herd of pedigree Dexter cattle. The site also features the Ruskin Studio, a purpose built space used for art projects, training courses, meetings, and care farming.
Offering support for individuals of all abilities, the trust welcomes disadvantaged and vulnerable people, including those recovering from mental health difficulties. Activities are centred upon the skills of forest and orchard maintenance, green woodworking, and livestock care. Visitors can access volunteering opportunities, educational visits, and a variety of heritage craft workshops.
