Worralls Grove is a bed and breakfast in a farmhouse on the Arley Estate, standing above the River Severn a few miles upriver from Bewdley. It has won Channel 4’s Three in a Bed. The owners put the house at around 550 years old, and it sits in its own orchards and woodland with the river below it and the Severn Valley Railway running along the opposite side of the valley, so the steam trains pass in full view of the garden.
There are three en-suite rooms, each taking two adults. Jasmine has a king bed and looks out over the woods and the river. The Earl Grey suite has a separate lounge and takes either a super king or twin beds. Honeysuckle sits at the top of the house under the beams, with a dressing area, a super king or twin beds, and a view down to the Severn. All three have tea and coffee making facilities, a flat screen television with satellite channels, a hairdryer, toiletries, slippers and an umbrella. Wifi is free throughout the house and the garden.
Breakfast is home cooked and served between seven and ten, either in the breakfast barn or outside on the deck, with dietary requirements and allergies catered for if you mention them when you book. Check in is from three in the afternoon and check out is eleven. The house is adults only with an age limit of eighteen, there are no cots or extra beds, and pets cannot be accommodated. Access is by a stone step up to the reception barn and a few more to the rooms, so it is not suitable for wheelchair users.
