Morena Artina is an intuitive, self taught artist based at her studio, Hare Cottage Art, located in Unit 9 of Bewdley Museum. Eschewing traditional rules, Morena allow her paintings to evolve naturally, often finding inspiration in the initial marks and shapes made on a blank canvas. Her unique approach has earned her a global following, with one collector describing her as a modern day Beatrix Potter.

Deeply inspired by nature, Morena is particularly well known for her paintings of wild animals, with her depictions of hares being especially popular among collectors worldwide. Beyond original canvases, she personally produces a wide range of bespoke giftware in her studio, including mugs, greetings cards, wrapping paper, and high quality canvas prints. This hands on approach ensures that every item reflects the whimsical and organic style of her original artwork.

Visitors to Bewdley Museum are invited to visit the Hare Cottage Art studio to watch Morena at work and observe her creative process first hand. In addition to her physical studio on Load Street, her work is available through her dedicated website and Etsy shop. As a resident craftsperson, Morena’s presence adds a vibrant and imaginative element to the local artisan community in the heart of the town.
