The annual Bewdley Duck Race returns for Easter Monday 2026, with hundreds of yellow rubber ducks set to be launched onto the River Severn.
Organised by the Kidderminster and District Lions Club, the event regularly draws large crowds along Severn Side South and Bewdley Bridge.
This year’s race takes place on Monday 6 April 2026. Registration usually opens on Severn Side South at 10:00 am and runs until 11:45 am. At 12:00 noon, a cannon will start the race, and all ducks will be launched from the bridge. A planned road closure will be in effect on the bridge from 11:30 am to 12:30 pm to facilitate the event.
The race is open to the public. To enter, go to the registration area on the day. Each duck is numbered for tracking and assigned to a participant. The Lions Club explicitly states that only official race marshals are permitted on the bridge to assist with the launch.
All proceeds from the race go directly to local charities and causes supported by the Lions Club.
Further updates are available on the Lions Club Facebook page. Attendees wishing to participate are advised to arrive early to secure their registration.
